Everyone deserves the right to good health. At The Bridge, we work to reduce inequalities in health and wellbeing for women working and living in London through community solidarity, connection and action.
This poster was created by the most important people at The Bridge; our community. We individually painted our own canvases, tore them up into small pieces and put them back together to form a colourful heart representing hope, strength and solidarity.
Reflecting on the process, it mirrors people’s journeys with The Bridge. Come to us individually, open up and connect with different people, reflect on, tear up, unlearn and relearn things about yourself, and build up stronger together.
A bit about The Bridge
Similarly to the original Touch 4 Love sign, which was created as a mindful spot for someone struggling with their mental health, our space is a place where people can visit whenever they need a reminder that their health and wellbeing is important. We’re a charity working with and for women to live positive, healthy lives, whilst recognising the ways that each one of us is uniquely shaped by privilege and the existence of structural and systematic discrimination and inequality.
Our women-only gym and fitness classes offer a safe and friendly space for women of all identities to move, workout and build strength. Our community projects provide a free space for community connection, creativity and support. Our café is a warm space open for all to enjoy a peaceful moment.
