the dine supper club

Our pop-up community restaurant serving delicious, accessible and sustainable food.

Come and eat at DINE, our plant-based supper club in The Bridge Kitchen.

Every first Thursday of the month from 18:00–20:30.

Everyone should have access to tasty food that’s good for you and the planet. That’s why we’re running DINE on a loose ‘pay-it-forward’ model. Simply pay what you can; everyone’s welcome at our table.

Our next DINE is on Thursday 02 May. We will be joined by guest chef Wing-Lee Chan who will be cooking a flavourful Asian fusion menu!

Why DINE?

Good food is food that’s beneficial for you, accessible to the community and sustainable for planet. Everyone should have the right to access good food and to feel dignified in doing so.

The unfortunate reality is that inequalities in the food system have increased the risk of poor dietary outcomes, with children and families in low income households suffering the severest health consequences.

DINE is a step towards changing this. Operating on a pay-what-you-feel model, we hope to remove obstacles to good food so that eating well is easy and cost is not a barrier. We’ll have a new varied and tasty plant-based menu every month based on recipe suggestions from our community.

How does the payment system work?

You’ll have the option to:

  • dine completely for free
  • pay what you can towards your meal
  • cover the cost of your meal
  • cover the cost of your meal and make an additional donation

Donations and additional payments go back into the project and support those of us struggling with a lower income or a particularly lean month to still enjoy a healthy meal out. Relying on some members of our community who have a larger disposble income paying more while others pay less is a step towards building a stronger, more resilient and equitable society.

By bringing people together through food, DINE aims to bridge inequalities through solidarity and dignity.

Can my payment be anonymous?

We'll do our best to make sure that, whatever you want to pay, you'll feel comfortable.

If you want to DINE for free, simply leave whenever you're ready to do so.

To make a contribution towards your meal, cover the cost or make an additional donation, you'll need to pay at the counter and let the cashier know what you'd like to pay.

If there are other ways you think we can make the payment process easier for you, please get in touch with our Projects Team at projects@thebridge-uk.org.

Why is your menu plant-based?

Plant-based food is good for you and the planet. We use healthy and tasty ingredients in all of our menus and aim to use seasonal produce where possible to reduce our carbon footprint.

How do I book DINE?

You can make your booking using the form at the top of this page. If the bookings are closed, join the mailing list to be notified when the bookings reopen.

When is DINE?

DINE is on the first Thursday of each month.

Can I get involved in helping to run DINE?

We're looking for guest chefs to curate and cook a plant-based menu for one of our supper clubs. If this interests you, we'd love to hear from you!

We also want to involve the community in our menu making as much as possible. If you have dish or menu suggestions, please get in touch.

You can contact our Projects Team at projects@thebridge-uk.org.

Want to know more – come have a look and ask us any questions!

At The Bridge, we recognise that ultimately a food project cannot tackle the structural issues and root causes of food and health inequality. However, we do believe that by creating a safe space where people can come together through the sharing of good food we can inspire individual and collective action and contribute towards a more empathetic and just community.

Read more about the right to good food here and join our mailing list to stay up to the date on DINE.

let’s change the narrative of who eats, where, what, and how.
