Forget Ibiza – home hibernation away from the virus has been the go-to destination of 2020, but it isn't the only thing you can do to up the ante on the nasties, because there is one unpleasant disease that affects 1 in 15 people in the UK, 1 in 10 globally, and once you have it, it plays havoc with your body.  Collectively it feels like we are all on more of a mission to keep healthy – now more than ever, so let's talk about the illness that is preventable in over half the cases and that you can take action to stop in its tracks: Type 2 Diabetes.

Experts tell us that around three in five cases of type 2 diabetes can be prevented or delayed by maintaining a healthy weight, eating well and being active.  And sorry to harp on, but moving more will also help you to reduce your waist size and reduce blood pressure with the additional benefits of improved mood and sleep.
